Register for the Sunshine Beach Run Sunday 22nd March for Sids & Kids!

Get your Rego's in for The Sunshine Beach Run being held on Sunday 22nd March to help raise funds for Sids & Kids! All funds raised through the Sunshine Beach Run will be used to expand counseling services providing increased support for families who have suffered the tragedy of losing a baby or young child.

Welcome back from Maternity Leave Natalie Bull!

Natalie is a Continence and Women’s Health Physiotherapist, her expertise and interest is in assisting men and women with the management of bladder and bowel incontinence, pelvic pain, as well as the treatment of female pelvic organ prolapse, ante and postnatal care. Natalie is back working fortnightly on Saturday mornings at the Shenton Park practice.

Stacey is a Physiotherapist with an undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy (Sydney University, 2006) and a Master of Clinical Physiotherapy majoring in manipulative therapy (Curtin University, 2014). She has completed DMA Pilates level 1 and 2 and Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Mat work courses and worked at Rugby clubs in Sydney and Darwin and amateur AFL league since moving to Perth in 2013.

WELCOME STACEY CUBITT - POST GRAD MUSCULOSKELETAL PHYSIOTHERAPIST

Stacey Cubitt Small

Stacey is a Physiotherapist with an undergraduate degree in Physiotherapy (Sydney University, 2006) and a Master of Clinical Physiotherapy majoring in manipulative therapy (Curtin University, 2014). She has completed DMA Pilates level 1 and 2 and Australian Physiotherapy and Pilates Matwork courses and worked at Rugby clubs in Sydney and Darwin and amateur AFL league since moving to Perth in 2013.

She has experience working in both the UK and Australia and has combined her career with her love of travelling. She has worked in a variety of roles and has experience treating and managing musculoskeletal pain and sporting injuries.

Stacey is a very passionate Physiotherapist with particular interest in complex chronic pain conditions, particularly spinal pain. She will be taking some of the strength and conditioning classes which are individually structured with the aim to assist the participant's return to full function and capacity, whether it is post injury or for a general conditioning program.

Stacey currently practices at the Shenton Park clinic.

 

New Strength, Conditioning & Pilates Class at 10.30am on Thursdays with Shani at Bethesda!

Shani is now running a Strength & Conditioning and Pilates class at Bethesda at 10.30am on Thursdays. The class combines both Pilates techniques and functional exercises to help you achieve your exercise, fitness and rehabilitation goals.

The cost is $30 per class when paid in advance in Groups of 5.

Body Logic Physiotherapy at Bethesda Hospital offers a unique and comprehensive service for Cyclists, Triathletes and Mountain Bikers of all ages and abilities. Riders can benefit from the expertise of Physiotherapists with hands on 'bike' experience, in both the assessment of bike positioning and, the assessment of individual biomechanics.

Sports Physiotherapist Leon Vogels has been involved with professional teams in several roles. Leon is able to relate to real life bike issues including parts, sizing/pricing, athlete goals and the athlete 'psyche.' Body Logic Bike Set Up can help a rider get the most out of their body, allowing them to be more efficient and powerful on the bike, while still considering each individual's flexibility and strength limits.

The Bike Set Up and Biomechanical Assessment involves an hour and a half long consult which includes:

Measurement of flexibility

Video assessment of position

Measurement of the bicycle, and

Measurement of the rider fit to the bicycle

A written assessment of position and required changes will be supplied and if necessary a follow-up visit for tasks to increase flexibility and control can be organised.
